The winter holidays are a time to connect with friends and family and exchange well wishes. Christmas cards are one way to send along your best wishes to those you love, and this year, you can make your holiday greetings extra special with customized photo cards from Walgreens.

Choose from an array of festive pre-set designs

Walgreens Photo offers a variety of pre-set Christmas cards, so you can select the one that appeals most to you. You can pick a general card, a Hanukkah design or one with a Christian religious theme, or celebrate your first Christmas as a couple or Baby’s first holiday with special designs. Help your loved ones catch up on everything that’s happened over the last 12 months with Year in Review cards. Select a pet card and make your fur baby the star of your greetings. Have your own unique idea for a holiday card? Upload a custom design complete with photos and text. There are even holiday party invitations that you can personalize with photos.

What do you write in Christmas cards?

When deciding what to write in your holiday photo cards, consider the message that you want to send, the type of card you chose, as well as your recipients. If you chose religious cards, you could say “May the spirit of the holiday season bring you comfort and happiness” or “Have a blessed holiday season.” Lines from Christmas songs can work well, too. Think “May all your Christmases be white” or “Have a holly-jolly Christmas.” Keep your greeting simple with something like “Happy holidays from our house to yours” or “Wishing you a happy holiday season.”

What pictures work best for Christmas cards?

With the Walgreens Photo design tool, you can upload JPEG, PNG and HEIC files. Generally, photos that are high resolution will provide the clearest images for Christmas cards.

Send holiday wishes with personal flair

Custom photo cards are truly one of a kind because you get to create them yourself. Just select a card and upload your photos from your computer or mobile device, Google Photos, Facebook or Instagram. Drag and drop them into place and add backgrounds, embellishments and text. In no time, you can design Christmas cards with personal flair and be on your way to saying happy holidays to everyone on your list. Once you’ve finished your card, decide which paper option you prefer from glossy photo, various types of cardstock and even 5-inch by 7-inch magnets. Check out online and your cards will be printed and packaged with envelopes for mailing. Need last minute Photo Cards? Many Walgreens Photo card options are available for free same-day pick up at your neighborhood Walgreens store. When do you send out Christmas cards?

There are no rules when it comes to sending Christmas cards, so plan to send them when it works best for you. Some people choose to mail their greetings on the day after Thanksgiving. Others wait until the first week of December. Keep in mind that the holiday season is a busy time for mailing, so delays are possible. Dropping your cards in the mailbox at least 7 to 10 days before the holiday will increase the chances of them arriving on time.
