New Year's Eve Place Card Idea

Want to create a tablescape that will set the right tone for your New Year’s Eve festivities? This DIY project lets you create elegant, yet whimsical place cards that make the table fun and festive. Best of all, they double as noise makers for ringing in the New Year! Just follow these steps:

Materials

  • Wallet Print of each guest
  • 2-inch round punch
  • Black cardstock
  • Craft glue
  • Gold metallic paint pen
  • Hole punch
  • Black ribbon
  • Gold noisemaker horn (purchase one for each guest)

Step 1: Punch

Center a 2-inch round punch over a Wallet Print and create a cutout. Then, create two circles from a piece of black cardstock.

Step 2: Stick

Glue the photo onto one of your black circles. Wait a few seconds for it to adhere. Offset the photo with the other circle and glue in place. Allow to dry.

Step 3: Label

Write your guest's name on the black cardstock. Let the ink dry.

Step 4: Punch

Use the hole punch to make a hole at the top of the photo.

Step 5: Thread

Cut 12 to 16 inches of ribbon and then thread through the hole.

Step 6: Secure

Position the photo on the center of the ribbon. Tie the ribbon around the noisemaker.

Step 7: Repeat and Set

Make one place card for each guest and then set the table!
