Sharing photos online vs. sharing by email
| |
| There's a reason so many people are sharing online. It's faster, easier and more convenient for both you and your friends. Just look at how sharing online stacks up against sending photos in email: |

|
Email sharing: |
|
| SIZE |
|
Size doesn't matter: Friends receive a simple email inviting them to view your photos from their own account when it's convenient for them. |
|
Sharing limited by size: Friends receive emails with huge attachments that clog inboxes. |
|
STORAGE
|
|
Unlimited storage: With Photo Center albums you can
share as many photos as you like; your
albums can hold hundreds of photos. |
|
Email sharing: Larger emails usually won't make it
past firewalls. Many email
accounts limit the number of
attachments per email, so you
have to send multiple emails. |
|
| VIEWING |
|
Fun, easy viewing:
Friends see your photos in customized albums that showcase each photo; they can also use the slideshow feature.
|
|
Viewing can be difficult:
Photos can be gigantic or teeny; you can't control how it will appear on your friends' screens. |
|
| PRINTING |
|
Prints for pennies: Friends can order any print with the click
of a mouse. They can make photo gifts
and add comments to your album if you
choose to allow them. You can also
share photos in group rooms, so you
and your friends can post photos
in the same place. |
|
Printing is complicated: Friends must either save the photos
to their hard drive, then pull them into
software to print them from home;
download the photos and then upload
them to an online service; or save
them on a CD or memory card and
take them to a store for printing. |

How do I share photos online
Once you've uploaded photos to your Photo Center account, select Share in the right-hand toolbar, then Share a photo or Share this album. Enter as many email addresses as you'd like, edit your message, then select Share photo or Share album.
Your friends will receive an email invitation to view your photos. From there, they can
order prints and enlargements, and comments to your Guest Book and more.
