Overview |

|
There are two types of photo CDs that you can create online through W Photo. If you include a photo CD as part of a print order, all images in your order will be placed on the CD. If you want to choose particular images to include on your CD, then you will need to create a Custom Photo CD.
Custom Photo CDs can hold up to 500 high-resolution digital photos. You can include photos from your own albums and/or shared albums that you have access to.
Each photo CD comes with Windows-compatible photo-viewing and editing software. Mac users can view the JPEG photo files using a Web browser or their own photo-viewing software.

Selecting Photos for Your CD |

|
Tip: During the CD ordering process, you can choose albums, but not individual photos. If you want to hand-pick photos for your CD, you will need to organize your photos into albums ahead of time. Just copy or move the photos you want into new or existing albums.
While viewing your photo library, an album or an individual photo, click the "Create" link in the photo toolbar on the right side of the page. Then click "Photo CD."
- On the "Create a Photo CD" page, you'll see your own albums and the shared albums that you have access to. Click on the checkbox next to each album you want to add.
- You can continue to add albums as long as the total number of photos in all of the albums you've selected is less than 500. Your running total will appear in the upper and lower right corners of the page in most web browsers.
- When you've selected all of the albums you'd like to include, click the ADD CD TO CART button to add this CD to your cart and continue. You will not be charged until you click on the SUBMIT ORDER button at the end of the checkout process.

Your Photo Cart |
|
|
Your Photo Cart holds your unsubmitted orders for prints, photo gifts and Photo CDs. Any prints, photo gifts or CDs you add to your cart are saved there until you check out or remove these items from your cart.
Adding a title (shipped CDs only)
If you are having your CD shipped to you, you can give it a title by entering up to 40 characters in the field labeled "CD Name." If you don't change this field, your CD will be named "Walgreens Photo CD."
The title will not be printed on the CD, but it will appear as the name of the disc when you insert it into your computer's disc drive. If you pick the CD up at a Walgreens store, it will not have a title.
Adding or removing albums
Below the CD Name field, you'll see the number of photos and albums on the CD. To add or remove albums, click the "Edit CD" link.
Clicking the "Empty cart" link near the bottom of the page will remove all prints, photo gifts and CDs from your cart. You can then start over with a new order.

Applying discounts and promotions
Any free photo credits that apply to your Photo CD will automatically be subtracted in orange above your CD Total.
If you have a coupon code, enter it in the Coupon # field at the bottom of your Photo Cart.
Checking out
When your completed Photo CD and any prints and photo gifts you'd like to purchase are displayed in your cart, click on the CHECK OUT button. Applicable shipping and sales tax will be added when you review and place your order.
Note: You can only have one Custom Photo CD in your Photo Cart at a time. You will not be able to add a new Custom Photo CD to your cart when there's already one there; you will only be able to edit the existing CD. If you want to create another CD, you must place the order for the first one and then place a separate order for the second.

Prices and Shipping |

|
The price for a Custom Photo CD is $6.99 for each 100 photos. For example, a Custom Photo CD with 200 photos would cost $13.98 ($6.99 + $6.99), and a CD with 250 or 299 photos would be the same price. There is a maximum of 500 photos per CD.
Standard shipping and handling is $1.99 per order. 2-day and overnight shipping are also available.
Please allow 2-3 business days for your Photo CD order to be processed. Add this processing time to the estimated shipping time to determine total delivery time

Common Questions About Creating a Photo CD |

Can I pick individual photos from different albums to put on the CD?
No. Before you start creating your Custom Photo CD, you must move all of the photos you want to include into the albums you plan on adding to your CD. Once you start creating a CD, you will not be able to choose individual images from your albums. More info
Can I add shared albums to a CD?
Yes. When you are creating your Custom Photo CD, you will be able to add any of the albums you have access to.
Why am I unable to select one of my albums?
If you see the following message:
 exceeds 500-photo limit
It means you've tried to add an album containing enough photos to put you over the 500-photo limit for a Custom Photo CD. If you haven't yet reached the 500-photo limit, you can select an album containing few enough photos that your CD won't exceed the limit. Otherwise, you can add this CD to your cart, place your order, and then create another CD with the additional photos in a separate order. The number of photos you have already added to your Custom Photo CD is displayed in the upper and lower right corners while you're choosing albums.
What is the resolution of the pictures on a Custom Photo CD?
If the original photos came from film that we developed, the resolution is 1612 x 1024 pixels—sufficient to produce a high-quality 8x10-inch print.
The resolution of photos taken with a digital camera and uploaded to the W Photo web site depends on the resolution settings of the camera when the photo was taken, as well as the settings you used to upload the photos. When uploading photos using our Quick Upload tool, the default setting is Fast Upload, which reduces the image size and resolution. If you choose the Large Print Upload option, the full-size file will be uploaded, for a higher-resolution image.
Depending on how long your photos have been in your online account, only the low-resolution versions may be available. Please see our storage policy for more information.
Can I save a Custom Photo CD and return to complete it later?
Yes. Photo CDs you've assembled are saved in your cart until you place the order or remove them.
Can I create more than one Custom Photo CD in a single order?
No, we're sorry. At this time you can only place one Custom Photo CD in your cart at a time.You can, however, include both a Photo CD of your print order and a Custom Photo CD in your cart.
Can I order prints and Custom Photo CDs together?
Yes. You can add both prints and Custom Photo CDs to your cart, view the combined order, and then check out. More info on ordering prints
I use a Mac. Will a Walgreens Photo CD work on my computer?
Yes. You'll have access to all the photo files on the CD. However, you will need to use your own software to view them. The software on the CD is Windows-compatible only. The photo files are stored as JPEGs, so you can view them with your Web browser, or with any image-editing software on your Mac.
What software is included?
Windows-compatible W Photo Studio photo-viewing and editing software is included on the CD, allowing you to:
- Adjust the color of your photos
- Crop for different print sizes
- View the photos as a slide-show
- Remove red-eye
How will my pictures be organized?
Note:This feature is only available for Mail Order Photo CDs.
The Photo CD is organized into folders—one for each album you've included, labeled with the same names as the albums. Your individual photos are in these folders. The photo files on the CD are named using the first 8 characters of each photo's caption.
For example, if you include an album named "Vacation" containing a photo captioned "Dinner on the Lake," your CD will contain a folder called "Vacation" and within the folder, you'll find the photo "Dinneron.jpg."
