• Remove red-eye
• Add borders
• Crop (trim) your photo
• Correct the color in your photo
• Rotate and/or flip your photo
• Fill flash (lighten areas that are too dark)
• Add tints

After using one photo fix tool, you can choose to use the other tools in the same fix session. For example, after cropping a photo, you can then correct its color.

When you're happy with the changes you've made, click on the blue 'DONE EDITING' button. We'll save the corrected photo with a slightly different caption (for example, "mom's birthday(x)"). You can then order prints or return to your photos and select another photo to fix.

If you want to discard all your changes and begin again, click on the 'Cancel' button at the top or bottom of the page. A fresh copy of your original will replace the photo you've been working on.

Important: If you've shared an album, and then edited photos within it, your friends will see the fixed copies--unless you move them into another album.

To begin editing or enhancing a photo, follow these steps:

1. From your photo library, an album, or an individual photo page, click 'Edit & organize' in the blue menu on the right side of the page.
   Tip: If you begin on an individual photo page, you won't have to choose your photo later.
2. Then select 'Fix & enhance' from the list below.
3. If you began on an album page or in your photo library, select the photo you'd like to edit.
4. On the following page, you'll see the photo you selected and various icons and tabs next to it. Select the action you'd like to take, and follow the instructions below.

Saving Your Changes

Before you learn how to fix and enhance your photos, it's important to understand how these photos are saved in your account

Note: If you plan to edit multiple photos, it's important to understand the following. Whenever you edit one photo and click 'next' to edit another, without selecting a method for saving before you move on, Walgreens Photo Center uses the default saving method. The default method is 'As a replacement,' which saves the edited photo as a replacement of the version you had when you started. If you'd prefer to save the edited version as a copy, follow the instructions below.

In every 'Fix & enhance' session, you can select how your edited photo will be saved. When you're happy with the changes you've made, choose one of the following options (located to the right of the thumbnail version of your photo):

• As a replacement
• As a copy

When you save 'As a copy,' Walgreens Photo Center creates a copy and saves the edited photo with a slightly different caption (for example, "mom's birthday(2)"). Your photo album will contain both editions of the photo -- and more if you create additional copies.

Finally, click on the blue 'DONE EDITING' button. You can then order prints or return to your photos and select another photo to fix.

If you want to discard all your changes and begin again, click on the 'Cancel' button at the top or bottom of the page. A fresh copy of your original will replace the photo you've been working on.

Undoing Your Changes

On every 'Fix & enhance' page, you have two options for undoing your changes. Both options appear below the thumbnail version of your photo, to the right of the larger photo:

• Revert to last saved
• Revert to original

When you click 'Revert to original,' we will erase any edits you have made since you first uploaded your photo. You will see the version of the photo that you first uploaded.

Removing Red-Eye

Red-eye often appears in photos taken with a flash. The 'remove red-eye' tool neutralizes the red, while retaining original eye color as much as possible.

1. From your photo library, an album, or an individual photo page, click 'Edit & organize' in the blue menu on the right side of the page.
   Tip: If you begin on an individual photo page, you won't have to choose your photo later.
2. Then select 'Fix & enhance' from the list below.
3. If you began on an album page or in your photo library, select the photo you'd like to edit.
4. On the following page, you'll see the photo you selected and various icons and tabs next to it.
5. Click on the blue 'fix' tab to the right of your photo.
6. Click on the 'remove red-eye' icon.
7. Then, click on the red-eye area of the photo to correct.
8. Repeat for each eye you want to fix.
9. Check your results by clicking 'before/after.'
10. The change will be applied unless you click on 'start over' at the bottom of the box or 'Revert to last saved' below the small photo at the bottom of the page.

Adding Borders

A border can add life to a photo, provide context, prepare it for a photo gift -- or just be good, plain fun.

1. From your photo library, an album, or an individual photo page, click 'Edit & organize' in the blue menu on the right side of the page.
   Tip: If you begin on an individual photo page, you won't have to choose your photo later.
2. Then select 'Fix & enhance' from the list below.
3. If you began on an album page or in your photo library, select the photo you'd like to edit.
4. On the following page, you'll see the photo you selected and various icons and tabs next to it.
5. Click the blue 'borders' tab to the right of your photo.
6. Click on the border you prefer to see how it looks.
7. You can keep clicking on different borders to try them out.
8. The last border you click on will remain unless you click 'remove border' at the bottom of the box or 'Revert to last saved' below the small photo at the bottom of the page.

How to Crop

Smart Crop
To choose the exact area you want to include in a 4x6" print, choose this option.
Choose either horizontal or vertical orientation.
Click and drag the cropping border to select the area to include in the print. You can even move the cropped area around within the image.
The cropping border keeps the correct proportion for a 4x6" print, no matter how large or small you make it, or where you place it within the image.

Size Crop
To crop an image for any available print size from wallet to 16x20", select this option.
Select the button for the print size you prefer. The cropping border will change to the correct proportion.
Click and drag the cropping border to select the area to include in the print. You can even move the cropped area around within the image.
The cropping border keeps the correct proportion for the print size you've chosen.

Cropping for gifts

When you create a photo gift, the Walgreens Photo Center website often automatically crops (trims) your photo to fit the gift. Some photo gifts require this, because they use a square version of a photo (whereas cameras take rectangular photos).

Whenever you create a photo gift, we'll let you know whether or not we've cropped it. If we have, you'll see an orange indicator reading 'Your photo has been cropped to fit your gift.' At this time, you can leave the crop as it is, or you can change the crop (or rotate the photo) to the way you prefer it.

How to Crop a Photo for a Gift:

Note: Cropping is not available for Mac users. Also, the cropping process is slightly different for gifts that include multiple photos, such as coasters and calendars. To learn how to crop for multiple-photo gifts, see below.

To crop a photo for a gift, follow these steps:

1. From your Walgreens Photo Center homepage, click the green 'store' tab at the top of the page.
2. Select the gift you'd like to order. You can do this by clicking on the colored squares, clicking on the categories in the list on the left-hand side of the page, or clicking 'view all products,' the last item under 'more' in the left-hand list.
3. Once you have selected your product, you will see a page called 'create a _____.' This page will show the product you have selected next to an empty square reading 'choose your photo below.'
4. At the bottom of the page is a line of photos from your most recently viewed album. If the photo you'd like to use for this gift is in another album, click the 'Choose Another Album' button.
5. Select the photo you would like to use for the gift from the line of photos along the bottom of the page. Simply click on the photo or 'select' beneath the photo you choose.
6. Once you have selected your photo, it will appear in the box next to the image of the gift you are creating.
7. Often, we will pre-crop your photo to fit the gift. If we do, you will see 'Your photo has been cropped to fit your gift' in orange text above your photo.
8. You can change the crop or rotate the photo. Simply click 'change crop or rotate' beneath your photo.
9. On the following page, your photo will be shown inside the cropping tool. To use the cropping tool, click and drag the edges of the green rectangle. Or click in the center of the photo to move the entire cropping box.
10. You can also rotate your photo by clicking the 'left' or 'right' buttons under 'rotate,' to the right of your photo.
11. When you have the crop the way you want it, click the blue 'DONE EDITING' button.
12. You'll be taken back to the gift creation page. If you're not happy with the photo, you can click 'remove' and select another photo. Or you can click 'change crop or rotate' and do it again.

How to Crop Photos for Multi-Photo Gifts:

Coasters

1. From your Walgreens Photo Center homepage, click the green 'store' tab at the top of the page.
2. From the Walgreens Photo Center store, click 'party' in the left menu bar, under 'shop by occasion.'
3. On the 'party' page, click on the 'coaster set' square, located toward the top left center.
4. The next page is the coaster creation page. At the bottom, you'll see the photos in your most recently viewed album, displayed side by side. If you'd like to use photos from another album, click the 'Choose Another Album' button above your photos.
5. Use the 'drag and drop' method to take photos from the bottom of the page to the coaster slots in the center. Click on a photo and hold down the click button as you use your mouse (or trackball) to drag the photo to a coaster slot.
6. If you'd like to remove a photo from a coaster slot, click 'remove' beneath that photo and drag another photo to its place.
7. You can edit individual photos by clicking 'Edit' beneath the photo, once it's in a coaster slot. When you click 'Edit,' you'll see a popup window that allows you to crop or rotate.
8. To crop, click the corners of the green box and drag them, or click in the center of the green box to move the entire crop box.
9. To rotate, click the 'left' or 'right' buttons to the right of your photo.
10. When you're satisfied with all four photos for your coasters, click 'add to cart.' You will be taken to your shopping cart.

1. On the next page, you'll see the Walgreens Photo Center store. Click 'calendar' in the menu on the left. It's the second item down, under 'favorites.'
2. On the next, page, you create your calendar. Begin by selecting a 'starting month' at the upper left.
3. At the bottom of the page, you'll see the photos from your most recently viewed album, side by side. Create your calendar by clicking on each photo that you'd like to use and using your cursor to drag it to the month you choose. (Unclick to 'drop' the photo in the slot.)
4. If you'd like to use photos from a different album, click the 'Choose Another Album' button, above your photos.
5. Once you have dragged and dropped your photos, you can rearrange them. Click 'remove' below a photo to remove it from that slot, and drag another photo to that slot.
6. When you have the photos where you want them, click the blue 'REVIEW' button at the bottom of the page.
7. The follow page is the 'review' page. You will go through your entire calendar, month by month, using the 'previous' and 'next' buttons at the top of your picture.
8. As you review, you can change the crop on each photo, or rotate it, by clicking 'change crop or rotate' beneath each photo. You can also remove that photo by clicking 'change photo.'
9. If you click 'change crop or rotate,' a popup window will appear. In this window, you can move the crop box -- by dragging its corners or clicking and dragging the middle -- to focus on the most important element in your photo, trimming the extra away. You can also rotate the photo by clicking the 'left' or 'right' buttons to the right of the photo.
10. If you click 'change photo,' you will be taken back to the calendar creation page. Remove photos by clicking 'remove,' and drag and drop another photo to that slot.
11. Once you have reviewed every page of your calendar and are pleased with the results, click the box next to 'Yes, I have reviewed my calendar' at the bottom of the page. Then click 'add to cart.' You will be taken to your shopping cart.

Correcting Color

Walgreens Photo Center's color corrector uses a standard, automated formula to adjust brightness, contrast, color balance, and intensity. It can greatly improve the accuracy of your photo's color.

1. From your photo library, an album, or an individual photo page, click 'Edit & organize' in the blue menu on the right side of the page.
   Tip: If you begin on an individual photo page, you won't have to choose your photo later.
2. Then select 'Fix & enhance' from the list below.
3. If you began on an album page or in your photo library, select the photo you'd like to edit.
4. On the following page, you'll see the photo you selected and various icons and tabs next to it.
5. Click on the blue 'fix' tab to the right of your photo.
6. Click on the 'auto correct photo' icon.
7. When you click 'auto correct,' Walgreens Photo Center's color corrector will adjust your photo for the best possible brightness, color balance, and intensity.
8. When you click 'auto contrast,' Walgreens Photo Center's contrast corrector will adjust your photo for the best possible color contrast.
9. The corrected color will remain unless you click 'Revert to last saved' below the small photo to the right.

Rotating

If your photo is not properly oriented, you can rotate it 90 degree or flip it to be a mirror image of how it currently appears.

1. From your photo library, an album, or an individual photo page, click 'Edit & organize' in the blue menu on the right side of the page.
   Tip: If you begin on an individual photo page, you won't have to choose your photo later.
2. Then select 'Fix & enhance' from the list below.
3. If you began on an album page or in your photo library, select the photo you'd like to edit.
4. On the following page, you'll see the photo you selected and various icons and tabs next to it.
5. Click on the blue 'fix' tab to the right of your photo.
6. Click on the 'rotate photo' icon.
7. Click 'left,' 'right,' or 'flip' to rotate or flip your photo.
8. The rotated photo will remain unless you click 'Revert to last saved' below the small photo at the bottom of the page.

Fill Flash

If your photo has dark areas, you may want to use 'fill flash' to brighten them up. 'Fill flash' "spreads" light to dark areas of your photo without over-lightening other areas.

Fun

Have fun with your photos by applying a tint. Walgreens Photo Center offers a variety of attractive tints, including sepia (to "age" your photo) and black and white.

1. From your photo library, an album, or an individual photo page, click 'edit & organize' in the blue menu on the right side of the page.
   Tip: If you begin on an individual photo page, you won't have to choose your photo later.
2. Then select 'Fix & enhance' from the list below.
3. If you began on an album page or in your photo library, select the photo you'd like to edit.
4. On the following page, you'll see the photo you selected and various icons and tabs next to it.
5. Click on the blue 'fun' tab to the right of your photo.
6. Click on the tint that you'd like to apply.
7. You can keep clicking on tints until you find the one you like best.
8. The tint will remain unless you click 'none' at the top of the box or 'Revert to last saved' below the small photo at the bottom of the page.

Albums you own are blue and are generally displayed first on any page showing multiple albums. Your albums are created when you send us film to develop, or when you create an album as a destination for photos you upload, move, or copy. You can fix or delete any photos within your own albums.

The albums your friends and family have shared with you are green, and are displayed following the albums you own. You cannot fix the photos within these albums. However, you can copy the photos into your own album, and then fix them.

When I fix or enhance a photo, do I change the original?
No. Whenever you edit or enhance a photo, you're working on a copy. If you select 'As a copy' (located toward the lower right corner of the page), you'll be able to view both versions in your album. However, if you select 'As a replacement' (or allow the website to select the default for you, which is 'As a replacement), the new, edited copy will be saved in your album, and your original photo will not be visible. To view your original, return to 'Fix & enhance' and click 'Revert to original.

Can I fix or enhance friends' photos?
To fix a photo from a friend's album, you must first copy it to one of your own albums. Then use the fixing and enhancing features as described above.

Can I use red-eye removal to correct white flash reflection?
No. This tool works only with the color red.

What do I do if the red-eye tool doesn't remove all of the red?
Sometimes it takes a few clicks. Keep clicking on the red area until all of the red is gone.

Can I change my crop later, or have I lost the cropped part of my picture permanently?
If you'd like to have your original photo readily available to re-crop (or fix and enhance in any other way), the easiest way is to always choose 'As a copy' (located near the lower right corner of every 'Fix and enhance' page). If you choose 'save & replace,' your original will still be available, but it will not be visible in your album. To view it, return to 'Fix & enhance' and click 'Revert to original.' This will undo the entire history of edits on this photo.

NOTE: If you delete your original photo, it will not affect your cropped picture, but you will no longer be able to re-crop or fix the original.
